In this article you'll learn how to highlight text in GIMP using 2 methods
METHOD 1: Select brush with "Darken Only" mode. Select the size of the brush and appropriate color. To draw a line, click, hold shift and click again.
METHOD 2: Create a new transparent layer and set it to "Darken only" mode. Select the size of the brush and appropriate color. To draw a line, click, hold shift and click again. By creating a layer it's possible to erase the highlight.
